use the arp command, to set a static arp address to an ip
ie
arp -s 192.168.10.100 aa-aa-bb-cc-c6-09
or what ever the arp command is on your OS
then try and telnet to the access point with 192.168.10.100
if that fails, then there may be some special software needed to configure
it
Once you assign it an ip ( the access point itself ) remove the static entry
for the arp address you added
