Goodmorning boys and girls!
I've a slight problem getting a Siemens I-Gate card working under linux
2.4.18. I use the lnwg-ng drivers which should work.
The card is a PCMCIA situated in a PCI->PCMCIA adapter.
I have the correct SSID, macadress of the AP, no irq conflicts, and so on
and so forth.
modprobe prism2_plx
wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable
wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid=1WAEH2KB00VI authtype=opensystem
ifconfig wlan0 137.223.140.141 netmask 255.255.254.0 broadcast
137.223.140.255
route add default gw 137.223.140.1
And an ifconfig gets me:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:90:D1:00:6D:B5
inet addr:137.223.140.141 Bcast:137.223.140.255
Mask:255.255.254.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING PROMISC MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:5 Base address:0x3400
dmesg doesn't reveal anything intressting at all, it finds the card and
everything seems to be fine..
Any ideas ?
Too bad Siemens doesn't support linux =/
