Subject: [lwlan-devel]: Status Apps?
From: Eric Brombaugh (ebrombauintersil.com)

Greeting,

As I mentioned on the users list, I've got a Micron GoBook2 running
RH6.2 and an Addtron AWP-100 11 Mbps card running with the 0.1.7 version
of linux-wlan-ng. Generally it works well, but must be periodically
restarted.

I have some experience with Linux device drivers (I've helped on some of
the kernel sound drivers) and was wondering if there were any way to
access some of the PRISM 2 chipset status. Specifically, it would be
nice to have a signal strength meter, and perhaps display other types of
operating parameters of the WLAN card. It seems that this would be an
ideal GNOME panel applet. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
