    I've got a working 2.4 version of the driver, which I've been trying to work
    it into something that will work on both 2.2 and 2.4.

    I haven't looked at it for a while, so I'm not sure what state it's in, but it
    should be usable in 2.4. Don't trust it further than you could comfortably
    yodel it, though - I'm no device driver writer.
