    Hi

I currently have a wireless LAN set up at home with 2 PC's (Win 98SE). One
is connected to a cable modem (192.168.0.1) and the other is the PC I use
most often (192.168.0.2). Everything works fine, but I would like to replace
the first of these with a a linux box.

I have installed Redhat 7.0, and have no problems with the connection to the
cable modem (i.e. in linux I have access to the net etc. etc.). That's via a
    3Com PCI ethernet card.

However, I can't work out how to get the Zoomair wireless LAN card working.
The PCMCIA services seem to be OK - the card starts up OK, and appears to be
working (one of the lights on the Zoomair card comes on when the PCMCIA
    services are started).

I'm a relatively newbie to linux installations (I use unix on a regular
basis, but not as a systems administrator). Is there anywhere I can look
which runs through the installation of this card in linux? Given that I have
a relatively recent version of linux, I don't think I need to rebuild the
PCMCIA drivers or the WLAN drivers, but I'm really not sure. I have played
around with the wireless.opts file in /etc/pcmcia and rebooted, but that
doesn't seem to do anything. The problem seems to be that I only have eth0 -
how do I get it to recognise the second ethernet card?

As I said, I'm a relatively newbie to all of this.
    Many thanks for any help!
    Austin

PS If this email is inappropriate for this group, please accept my
apologies. After about 6 hours searching the net, I'm running out of options
:) There's plenty of stuff out there, but it either assumes you have a
little more knowledge than I do or it is out of date.
