    Hello,

I'm trying to implement a layer for secure messaging following
ISO/IEC 7816-4, using a Towitoko drive and a Starcos Card. Everything is
working but the Secure Messaging, it seems that I'm unable to calculate
cryptographic checksum (CC) right. Starcos manuals give a quite vague
description of the algorithm; specifically, using either DES or 3-DES, the
result is a 8 byte block, but Secure Messaging uses CCs of 4 bytes.

If anyone has any experience with this issue, or has any good
documentation reference (other that the ISO standard which I don't have, and
StarcOS manuals) I'll apreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance.
