    Hello,

I have just arrived to the smartcard's world, and I
have no experience. Could anybody please be so kind to
    give me an advice?

I want to have a development environment, but I have a
    lot of doubts:

    - Now I have a i386 with Red Hat 7.1, but I do not
know if it is the best choice. It is a pentium III.
    - What smartcard reader should I use? I have seen that
Todos Argos Mini Reader is a possible option but they
don't have sales offices in Spain (I am spanish).
    Gemplus?, Schlumberger?.
    - What smartcards? I have read something in
    www.linuxnet.com and in
    www.citi.umich.edu/projects/smartcard/, and it seems
that the only smartcard I can use is the Schlumberger
Cyberflex. I do not know if the Cyberflex Access
Developer (32K EEPROM) works with linux.
    - What development software should I use?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best Regards

        Juan Jose
