    Debian, the second :-) favorite distribution according to LJ [1]
    already has some packages related to the smart card. smartcard-netlogin
    is not yet Debian packaged but anybody can help on this task.

    I made a list of the actual official Debian packages [2]. We are only
    two people (as far as I know) to work on the smart card aspects for
    Debian: Carlos Prados and myself.

    One of my ultimate goals is to have a smart card based authentication
    "out of the box" for Debian.
