    I went with this license because I used David's ifd driver skeleton as
    my starting point. I felt I needed to use his license in order to
    comply with it.

    Given the choice, I would have used L/GPL for this library. If David,
    dual-licenses his source with L/GPL, the license for my library will
    become GPL or LGPL. I felt I did not have the choice of license.

    I'd like to add my voice for a Debian-compatible MUSCLE. I like the BSD
    concept but it is too easily co-opted. At least with a GPL license, the
    author(s) should have access to any mods made by third parties. IMHO,
    L/GPL is the way to go.
