I am now ready to install and start to use my new IBM Secure Way
smart card reader under Linux. Currently, I have one card for it (the
one that the package comes with), though I will using a CAC card (from
the US DOD) before the year is out.

Can someone tell me where do I start? What packages do I need
first? What can I do with the card I have?

    Very Respectfully,

    Subject: MUSCLE pcsc-lite-1.1.0

    Hello,

I released pcsc-lite-1.1.0 on the website today under Middleware.
pcsc-lite version 1.1.0 includes all of the previous developer patches
    and
some security improvements such as session checking, and removal of some

items in /tmp. This version also supports client side token plugins
(SSP's) This version has some new command line features, improved
documentation, and cleaner behavior. Also included is compilable
    support
for HSM's which might require large data transfer capability. This
version supports sleep mode on OS X.

    Near future changes:
I will release the RPM's later this week.
I will also release a patch which will allow the resource manager to
    make
use of the getsockopts with PEER_CRED in order to limit connections
    based
    upon a user id.

The source can be retrieved from http://www.musclecard.com/middle.html

    Cheers,
    Dave
