As I already explained in [1] libpcsclite.so.1 has been
configured/designed to cohabit with libpcsclite.so.0.

An application linked with libpcsclite.so.0 should continue to work with
pcscd from pcsc-lite1.2.9-beta4 and with libpcsclite.so.1 installed.

But, of course, you should _not_ remove libpcsclite.so.0 (if you want
your old applications continue to work). If you compiled and installed
pcsc-lite1.2.9-beta4 by hand this should not occur. But if you installed
a broken package you may have problems.
