I don't seen anything special either.
Are you sure you do not have another process talking to the reader like
another pcscd or openct?
Since you also have the problem with the GemPC Twin we will use it for
the debug.
Edit the file /usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/Info.plist
(the path may be different for you) and change:
<key>ifdLogLevel</key>
<string>0x0003</string>
in:
<key>ifdLogLevel</key>
<string>0x000F</string>
Restart pcscd with the same debug option and send me the new logs
generated by pcscd.
