G'day,
I want to use the new PKINIT functionality in Heimdal to obtain a
private key and a certificate from a smart card. Heimdal PKINIT uses
OpenSSL, and I figure I need to use the PKCS#11 crypto engine to
communicate with the smart card. I want to support various smart cards,
and various readers, under Linux.
At the moment I've got a Reflex USB v.2 reader, and a Cyberflex 32K
card. PC/SC Lite can recognize the reader just fine (once I reflash it
as a SCR 331 reader), but it appears that OpenSC cannot support my card.
Can anyone suggest an alternative to OpenSC for my purpose? What other
toolkits out will allow me to plug in an OpenSSL PKCS#11 engine that can
communicate with various smart cards?
