You need to install the driver if you want the "system" to recognise it.
For your GCR412 (I guess it is a GemPC 412) you need to use the Debian
package libgempc410.
For your GCR432 (I guess it is a GemPC 432) you need to use the Debian
package libgempc430.
By default these two drivers (and many others) are not installed in
Debian.

This is a completely different problem. I don't know if your cards are
supported by the musclecard framework (used by muscleTool). I guess
they are not.
