I checked with the var/log/system.messages. Whenever I got the
following two lines of messages, pcscd did not exit and works properly
without auto-exitting.

Aug 31 18:36:55 mac-admins-power-mac-g4-agp-graphics /usr/sbin/pcscd:
SCardTransmit: wrote past end receive buffer

SCardTransmit: wrote past end receive buffer
----
When these messages do not come, then, the exit after 2 minutes
happens. I cudnt reason out the meaning behind those two messages, as
they are APIs for apps above pcscd layer.

no comments / messages come in either the console log or the system
when pcscd exits
pls guide me in this.
