Hello All,
I have 2 versions of the Omnikey usb Smart Card chip (Atmel uC), one
with version 1.0 and the other with version 2.03.
I am having a problem getting the daemon to attach the usbfs driver to
any of the devices version 2.03 devices. The 1.0 device is a Cardman
3132 off the shelf reader, and the 2.03 devices are an OEM solution
(Omnikey markets this as the Smart
link chipset)
I have installed the required s/w packages (libusb, latest OK driver,
PCSC 1.3.1, and the SYNCAPI package. The "syncapi" package was
configured with the --enable-extendedapdu --enable-libusb options. (We
are using the SLE4443 chip and a I2C based eeprom for another).
The usbfs driver attaches to the OK Cardman 3132 card reader, which
seems to be working just fine with both I2C and SLE4443. I am
monitoring the stdout of the pcscd -fd messages. The 3132 Cardman
replies with an ATR both the I2C card and the SLE4443 cards. I believe
the Smart
link never gives an ATR because the usbfs driver is not
attached.
When I look at the /proc/bus/usb/devices file, only the 3132 has the
usbfs driver attached. The Smart
link device does not
have a the usbfs driver attached, infact it indicates "none". I have
noticed the following significant differences in the usb enumeration
information between the 2 chip versions:
Has anyone seen this behaivior before? Any thoughts about
troubleshooting this issue?
