I deinstalled now the libccid package, installed a dummy
pcsc-ifd-handler package and reinstalled pcscd.

Now pcscd loads the scm driver (no big surprise here), but
both pcsc_scan and the java package javax.smartcardio fail to
talk to the reader/card.

This did work with the versions in debian etch.

Is there a way to get pcsc_scan and javax.smartcardio working
with the scm driver?
