Hi!
I just wanted to drop you a line that I've noticed strange behaviour
of ODBC drivers for SAP DB 7.4/MaxDB 7.5.
I installed the newest driver from ftp.sap.com on my Windows 2003 server
and tried to use it in Visual Studio .NET to make a test connection to my
development
server (SAP DB 7.3.0.46 on MS Windows XP).
However - I still receive error 4008 - Unknown user/password combination....
So, I went to some older drivers and installing and using ODBC 7.3 (I think
it was about 0.28)
solved my problem although - my connection string is almost the same
(I have changed only the name of ODBC driver from {SAP DB} to {SAP DB 7.3}.
But isn't it a little bit strange??
Could someone give me any hint, or at least confirm this bug??
