Hi,
  Got the latest MAXDB odbc drivers of the
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/maxdb/clients.html. These seem to be
very outdated. (Nov 2003).And upon testing has the memory leak bugs I
mentioned earlier.
 
The latest sapdb driver available is
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapdb/bin/win/odbc75.00.12-setup.exe . (linked
from sapdb.org). These are newer (15/4/2004) . Is this a LGPL driver??
there are no release notes. The memory leak bugs seem to be fixed here.

P.S: note my server is sapdb 7.3.0.48 in all cases.
Haven’t tested either driver for the crash on freeing a timed out
connection.

Is there a release of LGPL SAPDB drivers that work with 7.3 planned.
 
I believe these problems are fixed in the last maxdb ODBC driver
release.
 
If not what are the licensing issues using maxdb ODBC driver to connect
to SAPDB 7.3?? I don’t see any commercial terms for the drivers , only
for the maxdb server software itself.
 
The drivers page just says GPL. Does these mean I need to release my
ODBC code which works with any ODBC Data source , if I use the maxdb
drivers with sapdb??
