Expression bug or my mistake?

I've made the following query to obtain the fraction part after 2nd
facrtion digit:
SELECT DISTINCT (VL_TAXA-100*TRUNC(VL_TAXA/100.0)) AS TAXA FROM
TB_TAB_FRETE_TX
The MaxDB returns completelly unknown values. Is my expression too wrong
or MaxDB has a bug in this area?
