Hi,

compiling from sources did not work, so I chose the 2nd best way and
tried to install from the maxdb-all-linux-32bit-i386-7_5_00_24.tgz
Archive. After running SDBINST I answered all questions (profile 10
(all), took over the defaults) and the system begins to unpack, then the
archive begins to unpack, and stops after a couple of archives with this
message:

starting installation phase of package Database Kernel 7.5.00.24 32 bit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

unregister Database Kernel 7.5.00.24
start real extraction of
"/home/dros/downloads/maxdb-all-linux-32bit-i386-7_5_00_24/SDBKRN.TGZ"
[...]

checking unpacked archive... ok
installation exited abnormally at Mo, Mar 14, 2005 at 15:47:20

How can I see whats the problem?
