Hi !

New ebuilds for building maxdb 7.6.0.16 from sources can be found in the
gentoo bug system(http://bugs.gentoo.org/).
The ebuild for the devtools-source version 562049 is attached to bug nr
42286.
The ebuild for maxdb-source version 7.6.0.16 is attached to bug nr
42465.

Instructions on how to use the ebuild can be found in the
README-7.6.0.16-r1_forum.txt file that is also attached to bug nr 42465.

The ebuilds do not support update of existing db-instances so the
migration scenario is - backup, install in parallel, restore, test, ...

The ebuilds are meant to be used with gcc 3.4.4 and have been tested on
x86 platform with NPTL support.
