A few years ago I wrote a clone of dbmgui in Java using some eclipse
technologies. It is still available on http://dbmjui.sf.net but largely
unmaintained.

As the dependencies of dbmjui has evolved for unrelated software
projects (e.g. http://animelamp.coldwire.net/), I am not even sure the
CVS version will compile/run.
