Sorry for my english (it's very poor).

Our IRC server crashed last week. The problem was the hard disk.
So, the FreeBSD 3.2 was installed again.

Now the IRCAdmin told me that he is getting problems with authentication.
Before the new installation, all passwords was crypted with DES. Now it's done
with MD5.

The IRCAdmin told me that must be changed to DES. I really don't know the
reason, and I have no idea how to do it.

Somebody please can help me to switch the crypt to DES? Is it easy?
I need know all steps required to make it work.

I have some experience with Linux, and with the right steps I can do it.

All help are welcome :-)
