    I use mon here.. I am happy with it.. but setting it up is a fulltime
    job if you want to do anything special with it.. But it works great
    from what i've seen.. I use ucd-snmp and mon in combination and can
    extrapolate about anything from all the boxes :-).. And it's very
    reliable (well.. it IS perl..). Very flexible too..
