Defect Description:
PHSS_22914:
Id = NSMex03937
User can gain an unauthorized access to an OmniBack
client.
Resolution:
Code was changed to avoid unauthorised access.
To preserve the previous behaviour, a variable must

Part of SSPUX350_022.
Id = NSMex03757, NSMex03667
Inet times out during the export of variables.
Resolution:
Environment variable OB2INETTIMEOUT is introduced. It
should be set in /opt/omni/.omnirc file in form
OB2INETTIMEOUT=<time_in_seconds>
where time_in_seconds is timeout period for inet.
Recommended value is 150.
PHSS_22434:
Id = NSMex03372

Automatic Reboot?: No
Status: General Release
Critical: No
Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHSS_22575
Symptoms:
PHSS_22575:
- Automatic Actions can't start applications that display a
user interface.
- Event Interceptor aborts after getting traps with
unresolvable IP address.
- Event Interceptor aborts when running on an NNM system
and an invalid trap is received.
- The Event Interceptor might get into a looping state when
running on an NNM system and the ovtrapd is stopped.
- Multiple issues with the agent on MS Terminal Server
systems running on NT 4.0.
- Perl script might show strange behavior when called
as monitor.
- Agent has to run as 'HP ITO account' user.
PHSS_22002:
- ITO requires the setting of all IP addresses in
opc.hosts for NT multi homed hosts.
- When calling an application as non-administrative user,
there is a window coming up: Initialization of dynamic
load library c:\winnt\system32\user32. dll failed. the
nthost. exe tool help, but it is required after each
start of the system.
- When using the application opcprfls. exe to list the
available performance monitoring objects on an NT system
not all objects are enumerated.
- Setting up a logfile template that uses a dynamic path
definition, like:
<`echo "/tmp/path with spaces/logfile1.txt"`>
This path will be handled as
three logfiles:
- /tmp/path
- with
- spaces/logfile1.txt
- In NAT environments the distribution does not work when
an IP address is set for the system that does not
physically exists on any of its network cards.
- In NAT environments it might make sense to set the
OPC_IP_ADDRESS to an address which does not exists on
any of the system's netword cards. This causes some
problems:
- control agent immediatly aborts
- 'opcagt -status' claims the agent is down even if
it's running
- RPC template distribution fails if too many ( > ~70)
templates are distributed.
- The monitor agent might abort when checking the
queuesize of the message agent queue.
- Some NT EventLog entries are incompletly reported to the
Management Server.
- The control agent aborts when the /usr/OV/tmp/OpC/bin
directory does not exist.
- The installation aborts with the NetGetDCName API
failing: network path not found.
- The event correlation agent might abort.
- In some situations the the source IP address of an
incoming trap has the wrong byte ordering.
- When there are many quickly incoming traps, the Event
Interceptor does not handle them but instead buffers
until there are new traps arriving.
- After distributing of templates to NT system, sometimes
there is a message in the errorlog about failures while
suspending threads.
PHSS_21007:
- ITO NT agent does not support MS Windows 2000
- There are no default templates for MS Terminal Server /
Citrix MetaFrame.
- The ITO setup process might run into problems when the
installation takes place from a write protected media.
- The ITO Action agent might grow in memory usage when many
automatic actions are running.
- On systems with more than 2GB of physical memory, the
itodiag tool does not report the correct memory size, but
only showed 2GB. This is only fixed on Windows 2000,
because Microsoft didn't fix the API call on Windows NT.
- The ITO Event Correlation agent might get into a state
of queuing messages instead of processing them.
- The ITO Transfer Manager (opctranm) fails to transfer
a request to an NT node that has a mgrconf file installed.
PHSS_20485:
- MS Terminal Server / Citrix MetaFrame was not supported.
- The ITO Monitor agent sometimes aborts.
- During the ITO agent installation using the opc_inst.bat
scripts, unwanted output is printed when unpacking
libnsp.
- Using the itodiag.exe tool very often might cause the NT
system to become unusable and require a reboot.
- The ITO Event interceptor aborts when receiving a trap
with a variable of the SNMPv2 type 'counter64'.
- The ITO Event interceptor aborts after receiving a trap
with the ASN variable type 'null'.
- The ITO Event interceptor might abort.
- The ITO Action agent executed a switch user even if the
requested user is the 'HP ITO account'.
- The tool itouser.exe might abort while printing the
userlist when more than 19 users/services are logged on
to the system.
- On systems that have the McAfee virusscanner installed,
after reboot sometimes the agent has problems reading the
opcinfo file and will fail. Later startups of the agent
succeed.
- Pattern matching does not work correctly on a Japanese
system.
- The trap interceptor opctrapi does not correctly handle
the reconfig signal.
- The trap interceptor opctrapi tries name resolution on
segment names.
- The trap interceptor opctrapi dies on some large
traps.
Defect Description:
PHSS_22575:
- The ITO agent can now run as non 'HP ITO account' user.
This also includes the 'SYSTEM' account.
Installation instruction:
Use the manual installation. Before calling the
'opc_inst.bat' script, an additional entry can be added to
the 'opcsetup.inf' file to specify the run user for the
agent:
[Agent User]
SYSTEM
Instead of 'SYSTEM', any other name could be specified. In
this case the user account is created.
If 'SYSTEM' is given, no user account is created (no
'opc_op' either).
NOTE: User names may not contain space characters.
If a user name is specified in 'opcsetup.inf', the agent
will be installed using this account name, no matter if
there was already an agent installed using another
account.
If a different user is specified in 'opcsetup.inf', the
account created by the existing agent is not removed but
left on the system. It has to be removed manually.
If no user name is specified in 'opcsetup.inf', the
installation will check if there is already an agent
installed. If it finds one, the same user will be used.
If a user is specified or found to be used by an old
agent, and the password specified was not correct for this
account, the user is removed and re-created. It has the
same name afterwards but a different internal user ID.
Applications:
-------------
- All applications configured to run as 'opc_op' or
'HP ITO account' have to be changed to specify a user
that exists on the system.
- All monitoring executables will be run as the specified
account. This might restrict some of the access rights
to monitored applications.
- The 'SYSTEM' account does not have any network access
capabilities.
Remote installation:
--------------------
- On Domain Controllers there is the Installation Server
service that executes the installation on remote systems
in this domain. If this service is modified to run as
'SYSTEM', the remote installation is not possible at all
(the 'SYSTEM' account does not have any access rights
for remote systems).
- If remote execution is wanted, the Installation Server
service can be configured to run as a domain user that
has Domain Admin user rights.
PHSS_22002:
check the list of the symptoms
PHSS_21007:
check the list of the symptoms
Resolution:
- The ITO agent is now supported on MS Windows 2000.
The following versions are supported:
MS Windows 2000 Professional 5.0
MS Windows 2000 Server 5.0
Also supported on MS Windows 2000:
MS Terminal Server
Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 English
(Refer to documentation below: PHSS_20485/6)
The same character sets are supported as documented for
MS Windows NT:
English Management Server:
OEM Code page 850
OEM Code page 437
ANSI Code page 1252
ASCII
Japanese Management Server:
ANSI Code page 932
ASCII
Notes:
- To install the default templates for MS Windows 2000,
the following command has to be executed on the ITO
management server after installation of this patch:
opccfgupld -add -subentity Win2000
Note: The templates can be uploaded to a Japanese
management server, but they are not localized.
The template group 'Default' contains the new group
'Windows 2000'. This group contains the following
templates:
opcmsg(1|3)
dflt_ApplEvLog (NT)
dflt_SecEvLog (NT)
dflt_SysEvLog (NT)
dflt_cpu_util_NT
The templates listed above are linked to the templates
in the 'Windows NT' template group.
dflt_DNSEvLog (2000)
dflt_DirectoryEvLog (2000)
dflt_FileReplicationEvLog (2000)
These three templates are new default templates for
the additional EventLogs that exist on the Windows
2000 Server system.
- If you want to assign the monitor template
'dflt_disk_util_NT' of the 'Windows NT' group to a
Windows 2000 system, execute the following command on
the system. The system must then be rebooted to activate
disk performance montoring of the operating system:
diskperf -y
- When removing the ITO agent from a Windows 2000 Domain
Controller the setup program might report an error
message:
The call to the NT API function 'NetUserDel (1)' for
'HP ITO account' failed with the following system
error: Access is denied.
This is caused by a Windows 2000 specific setup of the
access-control list in Active Directory.
As a workaround, manually remove the user account.
- To install the default templates for MS Terminal Server /
Citrix MetaFrame, the following command has to be executed
on the ITO management server after installation of this
patch:
opccfgupld -add -subentity TS_MF
Note: The templates can be uploaded to a Japanese
management server, but they are not localized.
The template group 'Default' contains the new group
'Terminal Server/MetaFrame'. This group contains the
following template groups:
MetaFrame
Terminal Server
Assign the 'Terminal Server' template group to systems
running the MS Terminal Server. Assign the 'MetaFram'
template group to systems running MS Terminal Server and
Citrix MetaFrame.
The new templates are:
TS_Licensing
Checks if the Terminal Server licensing service is
running
TS_Service
Checks if the Terminal Server service is running
System log (Terminal Server)
Template for Terminal Server events in the System
EventLog
MF_ICA_Browser
Checks if the MetaFrame ICA browser service is
running
MF_Prog_Neighborhood
Checks if the MetaFrame ICA Program Neighborhood
service is running
System Log (MetaFrame)
Template for MetaFrame events in the System EventLog
There is a new application group 'MetaFrame Tools'. It
contains the following applications:
Sessions
Lists open MF sessions
Users
Lists connected users on MF Server
Servers
Lists available MF Servers
Auditlog
Generates logon/logoff report
ACL Info
Shows information about user rights
Disconnect
Disconnects a terminal session
Flush
Synchronizes disk data
Send Message
Sends message to ICA client users
Processes
Lists processes on MF server
License
Shows information about license
PHSS_20485:
- The ITO agent is now supported on Terminal Server/
MetaFrame servers:
The following versions are supported:
MS Terminal Server NT 4.0 ServicePack 4 English
Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 English
Only the server part is supported. The ITO agent on
Terminal Server/ MetaFrame clients is not supported.
After the installation of an ITO agent on a Terminal
Server / MetaFrame system, the ITO installation logfile
is located in c:\temp, if c:\temp actually exists. If it
doesn't exist, the inst.log file is located in the
directory from where the installation was started.
The standard diskspace monitor may cause problems, if
the c: drive does not exist.
- Fixed bug in the multi byte character set handling.
- Check for reconfig each time a trap comes in.
- No name resolution is performed on segment names. They
are handled as if name service returned not resolvable.

Special Installation Instructions:
BEFORE LOADING THIS PATCH...
o You may use this patch with the following official
ITO release: A.05.30
o DO NOT use this patch with older releases of ITO,
for example versions A.05.00 or A.05.11.
o This patch provides the HP OV IT/Operations
Intelligent Agent to be used with a
ITO A.05.30 Management Server system.
(A) Patch Installation Instructions
-------------------------------
(A1) Install the patch, following the standard
installation instructions.
------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: For backing up the system before installing
a patch, you may use opc_backup(1m).
NOTE: MAKE SURE THAT NO AGENT OF THE PLATFORM
ADDRESSED BY THIS PATCH IS DISTRIBUTED
(either from the ITO Administrator's GUI
or from command line using inst.sh) WHILE
RUNNING SWINSTALL.
NOTE: Don't be afraid of the '-x autoreboot=true'
option above. There won't be a reboot due
to this ITO patch.
You can skip this option if you like.
NOTE: This patch must be installed on the ITO Management
Server system, NOT on an ITO Managed Node directly.
Changes will take effect on managed nodes by means of
ITO Software Distribution (using 'Force Update' if
there is already an agent installed on the managed
node). See chapter 2 of the ITO Administrator's
Reference manual for more information.
- To install the default templates for MS Windows 2000,
the following command has to be executed on the ITO
management server after installation of this patch:
opccfgupld -add -subentity Win2000
The templates can be uploaded to a Japanese

- If you want to assign the monitor template
'dflt_disk_util_NT' of the 'Windows NT' group to a
Windows 2000 system, execute the following command on
the system. The system must then be rebooted to
activate disk performance montoring of the operating
system:
diskperf -y
- To install the default templates for MS Terminal
Server / Citrix MetaFrame, the following command has
to be executed on the ITO management server after
installation of this patch:
opccfgupld -add -subentity TS_MF
The templates can be uploaded to a Japanese
management server, but they are not localized.

03)JAGad41488:Return 0 not handled properly (should
be a normal return).
04)JAGab75257:Fortran90 does not support Complex(16).
Should return an error.
05)JAGad44817:Compiler Internal Error with +Oopenmp.
06)JAGad43235:Use of PRIVATE directive causes internal
compiler abort with bad dictionary
reference.
PHSS_22538:
01)JAGaa68236: Computation of "s**5." is 2-3 times slower
with F90 than F77.
02)JAGad12935: f90 program generates incorrect results
when compiled with -C.
03)JAGad15427: The compiler aborts using +O3 +Oparallel
for programs with a GOTO out of a
LOOP_PARALLEL.
04)JAGad23650: Compiler generates internal error
message during assignment of a string
field from a constant record substructure.
05)JAGad30138: Parallel reduction code overwrites static
variables in BSS.

Return_U2_Variable_Tag_From_Variable
observed when a name list containing
objects declared in common is used in a
read statement.
07)JAGad32663: Error 4244 was not generated for OpenMP
code as expected when a dynamic variable
is used in a "private" clause of the
"$omp parallel" directive.
08)JAGad33376: +DAportable does not work on 11x PA
2.0 machines. It produces an executable
that will not run on PA 1.1.
09)JAGad35535: The F90 compiler needs an extension to
allow a file to be opened several times
using different unit numbers. This
switch was in the F77 product as +E5.

a COMMON block and USEs another module that
also defines the same COMMON block.
PHSS_22290:

sizeof(1)'
02)JAGad12719: EQUIVALENCE statements with shared common
caused compile time errors.
PHSS_22112:
01)JAGad04422: Some OpenMP directives caused compiler
internal errors when used with Modules.
02)JAGad08015: When multiple load options occurred in a
single compile line and the later options
were shorter than the earlier options,
incorrect behavior occurred.

PHSS_20578 caused incompatiblies for some
customers using shared library calls to
getarg.
04)JAGad10257: FSTREAM intrinsic only returns the lower
32 bits of FILE *fp pointer. That can
cause problems for applications using
wide mode (+DA2.0W).
05)JAGad21776: Hollerith literals that extended beyond
a single line behaved differently in
f77 +es than with f90 with +extend_source
06)JAGad23380: Request for closer correspondance of I/O
output between f77 and f90.
PHSS_21787:
01)JAGac40404: OpenMP runtime routines not yet available
(such as omp_get_thread_num, omp_set_lock,
omp_unset_lock, omp_test_lock) cause an
abnormal exit from the compiler.

an error message.
07)JAGad02360: Parallel reduction overflows were not
handled correctly.
08)JAGad04015: Difference in literal printing between
f77 +es and f90 +extend_source.
09)JAGad04620: Problem with Union overlapping other
variables.
10)JAGad09092: NASTRAN f90 problem +DS2.0W segmentation
fault and wrong behavior
11)JAGad09294: LOGICAL FUNCTION G*1() syntax not accepted

inadequate.
PHSS_21485:
01)JAGab70979: Reshape with negative numbers gives incorrect

floating point gives incorrect results.
04)JAGad00245: Backend Assert - Unimplemented feature 5172
while compiling +O3 +Oparallel for a loop
that had a multiple of 2 loop stride.
05)JAGad00286: When a CHARACTER declaration size is set by
a PARAMETER value, the compiler complains
that the value was undefined.

subroutine call that was part of an IF
statement caused an compiler internal
error (8901).
07)JAGad00306: REAL*4 constants that exceeded the range of
REAL*4 variables caused a compiler time error
to be generated.
08)JAGad04026: Need to support OpenMP model of
threadprivate.
Defect Description:
PHSS_23025:
01)JAGad41375:Token string table size was limiting number
of tokens.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGad39319:The IFBLOCK following the OMPPARALLELDOBLOCK
was being read before "insertendompdo" was
called.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGad41488:Compiler didn't handle return 0 correctly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
04)JAGab75257:Compiler tried to represent data types in an
unsupported format.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
05)JAGad44817:A push routine in DU_directives.c was being
called twice when it should only be
called once.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
06)JAGad43235:Compiler didn't handle PRIVATE directives
correctly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
PHSS_22538:
01)JAGaa68236: F90 did not inline x**r, where r is a real
constant with an integral value.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGad12935: The basic basic block optimizer in the LLO
disposed of a store that it incorrectly
determined was redundant.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGad15427: The optimizer tried to parallelize a loop
with multiple exits and aborted. This type
of loop cannot be parallelized. The
compiler now generates a warning message and
continues to compile without parallelizing
the loop.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
04)JAGad23650: The compiler was producing an unexpected type
of initializer for an array of derived type,
when the initial value was an array
constructor composed of structure
constructors.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
05)JAGad30138: The compiler was using an incorrect memory
area when several reduction variables were
needed within a loop.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
06)JAGad32585: The compiler did not correctly handle the
name list.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
07)JAGad32663: The compiler did not handle this disallowed
variable correctly. It now generates the
appropriate error message.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
08)JAGad33376: The link process caused 2.0 libraries to get
pulled in. We now pull in 1.1 libraries.
Resolution: Rebuild.
09)JAGad35535: The compiler now supports +multi_open to
allow a file to be used in multiple F90
Open statements.
Resolution: Compile using the new +multi_open compiler
switch.
PHSS_22464:
01)JAGaa68254: Compiler Internal Error referencing
f90numtab overflow with large data
initialization. Internal compiler tables
were increased in size.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGad12934: Compiler failed to handle an extra set of
paratheses in a character variable as an
intrinsic argument.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGad15565: IXOR of logical*1 was not supported.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
04)JAGad23380: Customer requests E and G format treatment
of leading zeros match f77 compiler output
for easier comparison of prior results.
New switch +io77 added to support this
functionality.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler using +io77.
05)JAGad25820: +fastallocatable caused errors with
allocatable arrays that were SAVEd.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
06)JAGad29886: Compiler Internal Error when a module defines
a COMMON block and USEs another module that
also defines the same COMMON block.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
PHSS_22290:
01)JAGad10204: Compiler failed to handle correctly a
constant argument to sizeof.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGad12719: EQUIVALENCE statements with shared common
were not handled correctly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
PHSS_22112:
01)JAGad04422: Some OpenMP directives caused parallel code
to be misplaced in the code stream when
used with Modules.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGad08015: The load option buffer was not being
reinitialized between uses, leaving garbage
at the end of the buffer on second and
later uses.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGad14842: The zero based getarg solution provided by
PHSS_20578 caused incompatiblies for some
customers using shared library calls to
getarg, so PHSS_20578 was superceded.
Resolution: Zero-based getarg behavior is now the default
when recompiling code. (HP f77 compatible
and also the method used by most other
Fortran vendors). To retain the one-based
behavior of earlier versions of f90,
recompile with the switch +getarg1.
04)JAGad10257: FSTREAM intrinsic only returns the lower
32 bits of FILE *fp pointer. That can
cause problems for applications using
wide mode (+DA2.0W).
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
05)JAGad21776: Hollerith literals that extended beyond
a single line behaved differently in
f77 +es than with f90 with +extend_source.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler using +es switch.
06)JAGad23380: f90 has different I/O behavior for some
cases with G format. New switch added to
provide G format that behaves like f77.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler using +gformat77.
PHSS_21787:
01)JAGac40404: OpenMP runtime routines not yet available
did not give an appropriate error message.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGac86812: Fortran90 Front End did not handle an
invalid alternate return appropriately.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGac89036: Errors were present in design of
fastallocatable option. New design is
binary compatible with non-fastallocatable
code, so mixed compilation is allowed.

04)JAGad00206: Errors were present in design of
fastallocatable option. New design is
binary compatible with non-fastallocatable
code, so mixed compilation is allowed.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler
05)JAGad00286: Fortran Front End did not handle PARAMETER
values in CHARACTER declarations properly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
06)JAGad00311: assigning 65535 to an integer*2 did not
allow for unsigned value representation.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
07)JAGad02360: HLO did not use cpslib 'rover' feature for
parallel reduction overflow
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
08)JAGad04015: f90 +extend_source blindly extended the
line with blanks while with +es, f77
trimmed the line to match the blanks in
the source file.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler using the new
flag +es instead of +extend_source.
09)JAGad04620: Unions not at the start of structures were
incorrectly handled.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
10)JAGad09092: Assigned format labels in wide mode were not
handled correctly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
11)JAGad09294: LOGICAL FUNCTION G*1() syntax not accepted
by f90, but was accepted by f77.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
12)JAGad12095: OpenMP directives did not handle several
cases appropriately. These were resolved.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
PHSS_21485:
01)JAGab70979: Integer exponentiation of negative numbers by
negative numbers was incorrectly implemented.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
02)JAGab75487: While implemented the 'Z' hex data format
extension for DATA statements to better
support existing f77 code, the parser was
incorrectly changed to not distingish between
variables and hex values starting with Z.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
03)JAGac86733: When logical statement functions contained
floating point code, the result register was
not set properly.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.

arithmetic left shift instead of the correct
logical left shift.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
05)JAGad00286: The parser was not making PARAMETER values
available to CHARACTER declarations.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
06)JAGad00305: Alternate return arguments were not handled
correctly for some cases.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.
07)JAGad00306: Users desired that out of range REAL*4
constants in f90 match the behavior of f77.
f90 generated an error message while f77
replaced out of range constants with the
largest representable REAL*4 constant.
Resolution: Recompile with new compiler.

Symptoms:
PHKL_23172:
(SR: 8606172359 CR: JAGad41619)
On a multi-processor system, ptrace of a process by multiple
processes can fail. This can lead sometimes to process or
system hangs.
This defect was introduced with the patch this patch
supersedes (PHKL_21432) and can only bee seen on
multi-processor systems.
PHKL_21432:
(SR: 5003352484 CR: JAGaa11895)
Debuggers attempting to work with a child process of a
process already under debug fail. The failure is reported
at the moment the child process to be debugged is forked.
The following is an example of the error that DDE may
report:
"kernel internal error: Process events (fork, vfork, exit,
exec) will not be reported."
Defect Description:
PHKL_23172:
(SR: 8606172359 CR: JAGad41619)
Code paths exists which can leave an alpha semaphore locked
on exit.
Resolution:
Calls to ptrace now make sure that alpha semaphores are
correctly released for all code paths.
PHKL_21432:
(SR: 5003352484 CR: JAGaa11895)
When a process under debug forks out a new child process,
the debugger, if asked to do so, will also attempt to fork a
new debugger for the child process. Since the PT_ATTACH for
the child process occurs when the child process has not yet
even run, certain variables have not yet been set and
additional debugger commands fail to work properly.
Resolution:
In order to get the debugged child process to go through the
proper path and initialize the apropriate variables, this
process is now forced to go from TSSTOP to TSRUN. To
accomplish this correctly, extra synchronization in the
PT_ATTACH code executed by the debugger was added. This
extra synchronization allows the debugged child process to
complete its initialization before the debugger is allowed
to continue.
