Symptoms:
PHKL_28326:
( SR:8606279649 CR:JAGae43638 )
System panic early in the boot process with
"alloc_pdc_pages: real_page_alloc_addr() fails, status = -1"
PHKL_27154:
( SR:8606197772 CR:JAGad66963 )
Enhancement: This product update is a member of a set
needed to enable the PA-8800 processor. The full list of
product updates required for this feature are: PHKL_27154,
PHKL_27155 and PHKL_27156.
Defect Description:
PHKL_28326:
( SR:8606279649 CR:JAGae43638 )
If relocating PDC from ROM to main memory fails due to bad
physical memory, the system panics. The panic message does
not adequately describe the reason for the panic.
Resolution:
Made alloc_pdc_pages more flexible. If an allocation
attempt fails, the requested memory range will be shifted
to a lower range of address. This will continue until a
successful allocation, or if 16 retry attempts are
made the system will panic. The panic message is improved
by providing additional information.
PHKL_27154:
( SR:8606197772 CR:JAGad66963 )
This product update contains minor enhancements required to
enable the PA-8800 processor.
Resolution:
Added code to recognize PA-8800 processors.
Enhancement:
