Symptoms
--------

Fix
---
Check whether the DBU entry exist or not.

Patch-to-Patch Dependencies
===========================

Requires Diagnostics version A.02.25 (ODIKXK2C or later)
(DUI Version A.02.25)
This version of diagnostics supports COLOSSUS.

Note that this is now a real dependency, so we do not need
the pre-colossus/post-colossus versions of MEMSCANP. This
patch must be installed on a system that has ODIKXK2C or
a later patch installed (As of the GR date of 12/16/2002
of OSPMX35A, the current GR ODI patch and the dependency
is ODILXA9A)

External Symptoms, Cause, Fix Description
=========================================

OSPMX35A contains Predictive version B.60.05

This patch (OSPMX35 A) is the 4th patch for Predictive
for MPE iX 6.0 It supercedes patches OSPKXT7B,OSPKXT7A,
and OSPKXP1A. The OSPKXT7 A patch was never released, but
the Quality Review copies of Powerpatch/Express I
had the "A" version of the patch.

This patch fixes 2 new problems:

8606-230470 - Predictive stops configuring devices if it
encounters a device with a path tha is > 16
characters long. This sometimes occurs because
a device is in the PPT (Physical Path Table)
                with trailing blanks.

The fix for this is two-fold. First, remove
leading and trailing blanks from all string
fields. The string fields are the ldev,
pdev (path), and product identifier. The
second part of the fix is to NOT stop
configuring devices if 1 device has a path
that is too long. Just skip that device and
go on to the next device.

8606-178548 - Predictive on MPE iX with OSPKXT7B exhibits
                an old problem:

If a 997 system has Colossus memory, MEMSCANP
aborts with the following stack trace:

           +-------------------------------------+
           | |
           | H E W L E T T - P A C K A R D |

This occurs because the MEMSCAN program
