        3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

        4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

        5a. For a standalone system, run swinstall to install the
            patch:

                swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true \
                        -s /tmp/PHCO_30610.depot

        By default swinstall will archive the original software in

          Retries for command "Move Medium" are implemented in
          case the command fails. Number of retries can be

          Second Utility Media Agent (UMA) cannot dismount a
          tape from a drive because the tape is still locked by
          the first UMA.

          Resolution:
          When connection between Media Agents is broken,
          OmniBack II successfully unloads a tape from a drive.

          Data Protector is failing to access the robotics on
          Linux. Ioctl function is unsuccessfully repeated 60
          times and then it fails.

          Resolution:
          Device major number is checked with fstat, if it is
          21 (sg device), SCSI command is passed with
          SCTL_io_linux_SG_driver function. Sending SCSI command
          with SCSI_IOCTL_SEND_COMMAND ioctl to sg is deprecated.

Installation Instructions:
        Please review all instructions and the Hewlett-Packard

        restrictions, and, limitation of liability and warranties,
        before installing this patch.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Login as root.

        3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

        4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

                cd /tmp
                sh PHSS_30141

        5a. For a standalone system, run swinstall to install the
            patch:

                swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true \
                        -s /tmp/PHSS_30141.depot

        By default swinstall will archive the original software in
        /var/adm/sw/patch/PHSS_30141. If you do not wish to retain a
        copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
        named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

        WARNING: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
                 patch cannot be deinstalled. Please be careful
                 when using this feature.

        It is recommended that you move the PHSS_30141.text file to
        /var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
        tape drive, use the command:

                dd if=/tmp/PHSS_30141.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k

        you might have received from HP Support if you
        have encountered a problem with Data Protector
        for which no General Release patch was or is
        available yet.

        is installed on your system, then you
        must re-apply this SSP after installing
        this Cell Console patch.
