It's been good to see a lot of the software creators participating so
actively in the list so I have a few questions to throw in.

There are now a range of IDS products available (or soon to be) and the focus, for an end user of these systems, will be coming on to the user interface. It is possible (dare I say probable) that 'the user' will be implementing more that one sensor or sensor technology.

My questions are 1. to what degree are software manufacturers adhering to standards/conventions that may allow for the realistic integration of a single management console and multiple (diverse vendors) sensors ?

2. what is happening with CIDF/CISL standards ? Are they no-go'ers, too hard or just wrong ?

Regards,
