FWIW, these types of attack (including scale) are not new. They're just
"new" to big-name web sites. I don't recall hearing anything on the news
the last time someone decided to flood an IRC server at several hundred
Mb/s, do you ? Doesn't the nature of that recent `outbreak' suggest that
something may have been staged or are you convinced its kids playing games
because they're bored with mum and dad not aware of what they're doing ?
