Actually about 50 people cracked the challenge...everytime they broke
root the admin rebooted the server to patch it. You really think they
thought they would have to "give" out the money. It was all crap from
the start....i personally cracked the solaris machine and he rebooted
it 5 min after. I gave up even after talking with him personally
saying he would never do such a thing yet anytime anyone got close
servers magically went down. Was just a big scam for advertising is
all i think.
