Hello,
Help me out getting AT&T 1910 Data Stu's to work with my little windows NT
network. Basically I have a little system going as depicted on the
attached slide. Up to this point I have been very successful using
Motorola Sectel Stu III's but we recently got the 1910's and that will speed
up our network and free up the Motorola's for other stuff. I am able to
use the 1910's for my DISA dial up into Siprnet without any problem. I have
four of the 1910's and I configured them all identically in accordance with
the procedures for dialing into SIPRnet. I have set up the NT workstations
to RAS in using a direct serial cable connection on Comm port
1 (they are laptops) and basically just plugged in the 1910's to the serial
cable where the motorola's were plugged in before. I open up the dial up
window, make my voice call over the 1910's, hit the ready button on the
1910's. then I hit Dial on the computer and secure simoultaneously on the
1910's. They attempt to go secure, actually do establish secure for
nano-seconds and then kick-off. Meantime my windows NT gives me an error
message from the remote device.
Mike
