The reason is that the ">>" are shell functions. The user defined actions
are not executed in a shell. An easy way around this is to simply write a
shell script that contains the full action, and have the user defined action
execute the script. The script will execute in a shell.

Have an opened incident and wanted to know if anyone else
had user defined actions failing on RealSecure Solaris 3.2

Tried an executable first and then just tried
echo hello >> filename
got nothing!! anyone else on the bleeding edge?
