Renato,

        Is this software installed on a network drive? If so, do you have
admin rights to that directory? Are there other users currently using it?
I've installed it and have updated it without any problems. The machine
that we use are running Windows 2000 with NTFS partitions. Another option
would be to download the updates manually. Also, the location where the
updates are coming from/stored on can not be a read-only drive or media,
such as a cd-rom.

        You can also try to do it from the command line. I've never done it
before but you should be able to use...

...program files\iss\scanner6\xpressupdate (enter)
xpressupdate.exe -ia -p "Internet Scanner\6.0" - address
"c:\programfiles\iss\scanner6\xpressupdate" (enter)

-p means product and -address is the location of the xpu. This can either
be a web address or a local disk.

I'm trying to update internet scanner 6.1.
During installation phase I receive following errors:

- failed to launch F:\Program Files\ISS\Scanner6\InstallTemp\40Comupd.exe
/r:n /q:a

- Failed installing HTML Help

- following files failed to self-register
F:\program Files\Comm Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll
F:\WINNT\System32\msjet35.dll
F:\WINNT\system32\msrd2x35.dll

- Failed to launch LoginMerge (F:\Program
Files\ISS\Scanner6\InstallTemp\LoginMerge.exe)
... setfaccess.exe

and when i try to apply an xpress-update, the updater tell me that no xpress
package 0 is present so no upgrade is possible

Could you help me ?

processor: PIII (x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 3)
