    Mike,
Thank you very much for the extra information, this helps tremendously. I
will work with the QA folks and get back to you on whether we can reproduce
this and if it's a bug we need to fix.

    Thanks again!
    Audra

    Subject: RE: Server sensor 6.0.1

After we uninstalled server sensor 6.0, and installed 6.0.1, we found out
that all of our original tcp/ip settings were lost, and also the abilitiy to
configure the network adapters was lost. (we have two on this box in
particular.) We tried to un-install then re-install 6.0.1, to no avail.
What finally resolved the issue was uninstalling and reinstalling tcp/ip.
We have NT Server 4.0 sp 6a, with IIS 4 installed on it. My colleague did
report it to ISS technical support, but I don't know if there was an
incident opened up on it or not.

Sorry, same question applies to Windows NT. I need more detailed information than "hosed up my network configuration".

    He didn't mention Win2k.

    It was NT!

Mike, Can you please let me know what it changed on your network configuration? This should not be happening and it should be reported to tech support (supportiss.net) if it's causing configuration changes to Windows 2000 or IIS.

Thanks, Audra Eng Server Sensor Product Manager

We just installed server sensor 6.0.1 on a winnt 4.0 box with iis4. It totally hosed up our network configuration on it, we might have to rebuild our server. Be wary! Make sure you test it out first.
