Believe, the new server sensor ver. 6.01 or 6.1 should work as it no
longer inserts shims into TCP/IP stack. Pl check with ISS.

    See below:
In previous versions of Server Sensor, there were two modules that
monitored network traffic to and from the server. These modules were
    inserted into the TCP/IP
stack. The upper module monitored traffic above the TCP/IP stack, and
the lower module monitored traffic below the TCP/IP stack. Monitoring
    traffic above the
TCP/IP stack allowed Server Sensor to see the traffic before it can
reach a running application program. Software that also inserts modules
    into the TCP/IP stack
    can conflict with Server Sensor.

You no longer have the Deterministic Networks Enhancer (DNE) in version
6.01. In version 6.0.1 the DNE was replaced with Blackice technology.
    The conflicts that
were common with DNE have practically been eliminated.

    Cheers!!

It won't work. In a nut shell it puts a wedge in the IP stack that cannot happen in a virtual environment. Hope that helps. Paul L.

    Hi,

Does anyone know a successful way to apply a Server Sensor to a NIC that is using Microsoft WLBS (Windows Load Balancing System). The WLBS creates a virtual NIC and TCP/IP for the physical NIC is disabled in the bindings as it uses the TCP/IP on the Virtual NIC. We are using Real Secure 5.5 on Windows NT. I have a fear that this is not possible but any ideas or advice at all will be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Damian
