You must manage the Event Collector first in the manage assets window at the
bottom. Once you connect to the Event Collector, right click on the Event
Collector and choose properties. Under properties you will see a tab up top
called "Event Sources". Click on that tab and you will see your sensors.
What you should do next is to highlight the sensor you are having problems
with and click on the button at the bottom which is labled "Retrieve Port".
Then try and manage the sensor. If that doesn't work, go back in the Event
Sources under the properties of the Event Collector and delete the sensor
out of the list. Then re-add the sensor and try to manage it again.

    Good Luck!

    Bill

Do you assign the sensor to be monitored by the EC?

You can do this by running the deployment wizard from File-> Deployment
    Wizard.

And for you previous mail about X-press update, does your maintenance
    date in your license expired?

    Thanks
