INFO : [ISSForum] Running Realsecure Access control

From: Apers, Kim (ISS Brussels) (KApersiss.net)

SiteProtector Console has all this functionality.

1. multiple instances of the console running at the same time on the
same machine (ex. operator with multiple screens).
2. user access control on the console; start the console and you get the
user logon prompt. So Console software can be installed independent of
the local user. You need SiteProtector credentials before you can use
the Console.
3. Different user levels within the console. Admin/Analyst/Operator as
they all need different access/priviledges on the security data
4. Possibility to assign users to subgroup of security events. So the
Siteprotector can run a global database but the operator for EMEA has
only access to EMEA events.

On top of those features there is much more for the event
management/filtering/reporting and incident response.

SiteProtector can used already installed RealSecure sensors without the
need to reinstall/reconvert them.

Kim Apers, CISSP
Consultant ISS EMEA.
