True that this is not supported on a Redhat 8 system. However, check as
well to verify that the sharutils RPM is also installed. There are ways
around to get the Server Sensor to work on other non-supported Redhat
Kernels if the individual that initiated this thread wishes to email
directly.

Please note that RealSecure Server Sensor 6.5 for Linux does not support
RedHat 8 by default (RedHat 8 was released AFTER we released the 6.5
Linux Server Sensor).
However, we do have a technology preview available. If you are
interested in looking at the Kernel Independent version of the Linux
Server Sensor 6.5, please send me an email (jcloonan
iss.net) and I will
provide you with instructions.
This version has been tested on RedHat 7.3 with the newer Kernels, as
well as RedHat 8 and Advanced Server 2.1. ISS will be releasing a
kernel independent version of RealSecure Server Sensor 7.0 for Linux in
the Q4 timeframe.
Thanks,
John
