You will need to make sure you have exported any policies you are using to XML files. You will also need to make sure you have the account and password you setup on the Desktop Controller. Unfortunately there is no easy way to back the account information up, so you will need to remember the passwords.
 
If you connect to the Deployment Manager there is an option for installing an additional Desktop Controller.

Can somebody tell me what should I backup from the SiteProtector 2.0 before we uninstall the desktop controller from the site protector and reinstall it again.
 
The other question is how can I choose to only install the desktop controller on the Site Protector 2.0?
