You uninstalled and re-installed MSDE without uninstalling System
Scanner?
I doubt very much that this is going to work.
I don't think any software is really worried about where the DB is
physically because it uses ODBC connections. The problem is that all
that had been installed in the DB in the setup process is gone. You'll
have to uninstall and re-install System Scanner, in the hope that the
uninstall procedure works even though it doesn't find the DB.

Hi all,
what can I do that System Scanner Console works with a new MSDE ? For
compatibility reasons we had to uninstall the current MSDE and reinstall
it in another directory. After that, the System Scanner CAL Service did
not start any more. I think I must tell System Scanner about the new
location of MSDE (and maybe some more), but where/how?
