    Others have already commented on switching between SRM and Alpha Bios.

    Let me just add that both SRM and Alpha Bios can be upgraded from
    the "Alpha Firmware CD" - as you know SRM, you might have access
    to these.

    Seems so. The contents is available on "www.linuxalpha.org",
    but some internal URLs were not adapted, so following a link
    may lead you astray; you have to change them manually.
