I am running an AlphaPC 164SX (21164PC) 533, that originally had AlphaBIOS
Version 5.62-1. I flashed the ROM with sx164srm.rom and the system booted
fine to the SRM console.
However, I now wish to reinstall AlphaBIOS. Using the latest version of
sx164nt.rom in dva0, I type 'arc' from the >>> prompt, and the system loads
as it should. Unfortunately, when the AlphaBIOS has finished detecting
network adaptors, a window pops-up saying 'Invalid NVRAM data' and offers to
restore the NVRAM to factory default values. On pressing enter, the system
mentions briefly that it is saving data, and then locks up.
Has anyone any ideas how I can sort this?
(I am using a SCSI HD on DKA0 which I have low-level formatted using the
AlphaBIOS utility accessed via the [CTRL] [A] facility on boot.)
