Yes. It is a part of a kernel which I mentioned on that list a while

Yes. There are even rpms available through anonymous ftp but
compiling that stuff from sources is not complicated at all. :-)

Some. Few and far between. I think that dp264 and UP1500 cover
the whole list but I may be mistaken. UP1100?

??? Are you compiling Alpha specific code or you are trying
to use x86 assembler?
