    Just for the record, although I know that some people have been successful
    at getting a PWS to boot from a CD, I have never been able to get my PWS
    to boot from the CD. I have tried two different IDE cdroms (one was the
    original Toshiba) without success. I never had to wait for the chipset to
    warm up on my Miata either though. So maybe these machines are just
    quirky. My experiences is that once I got it installed (not too
    challenging) that it has been rock solid (better than any x86 stuff and
    slightly more so than my SPARCs) YMMV.

    I say go for the floppies and get on with it.
