K, after abondoning the CD option, I just made boot and root floppies and the troubles just continue.
I made a boot from ~/kernels/vmlinux.gz and that seemed to have booted fine. I made a root floppy from ~/images/ramdisk.img and when I got the message ...
VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER
I then got the following msgs ...
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
incomplete literal tree
invalid compressed format (err=1)<5>VFS: Insert root floppy disk and press ENTER
cramfs: wrong magic
FAT: bogus logical sector size 2460
FAT: bogus logical sector size 2460
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:00
RH7.2 on PWS500a. I'm wondering if I just shouldn't stick w/ my RH6.2 which currently still works :).
Any help much appreciated.
