Well, it was the latest rawhide version at the time. No problems so far. I had to
upgrade fontconfig and freetype. The latter (freetype-2.1.2-7.src.rpm) needed a little
patch - probably my libtool was too old.
I just built the latest rawhide version (4.2.99-901), and it compiled and works
    without problems on UP2000+ /matrox G200. I didn't try the radeon yet.

    Heid,
Did you build XFree4.2.1 yourself, or did you find an RPM for it? If
there's an RPM, where do I find it
    (ftp://ftp2.compaq.com/pub/linux/RedHat/7.2-alpha/updates only lists
4.1.0-29)? If you built it yourself, any problems? Any Alpha specific
    patches?

    Thanks in advance...
