Thanks, Darren, that'll do nicely...

I think I have one of those 4-port NIC cards; it was OEMed from
IntraServer, I believe.

I'll try to duplicate the problem later today, but some things to
possibly try in the meantime, as George mentioned:

1. upgrade to the 2.4.9-32.7smp kernel,
2. use the DE4X5 driver instead of the TULIP.
