With regards to your message at 06:40 PM 5/23/03, Donsbach, Jeff. Where you

Yes, one can see the license at:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/software/alpha-tools//ee-license.html

The pertinent part of the license regarding use is:

"1. GRANT

Hewlett-Packard Company ("HP") grants you a limited right to use the
Software Program Version (the "Software") specified. The Software may be
used solely for your individual and personal "enthusiast" purposes or
personal education and study. It may not be used for any commercial,
business or institutional purpose, whether "for profit" or "not for
profit." Any work performed or produced as a result of use of this Software
cannot be performed or produced for the benefit of other parties for a fee,
compensation or any other reimbursement or remuneration."

The key words that really irritate me are:
"..It may not be used for any commercial, business or institutional
purpose, whether "for profit" or "not for profit.""

They do not, however, define what is meant by commercial, business or
institutional.

Further, they can revoke with no reason given:
" Your initial and ongoing eligibility for this license is subject to
review by HP and HP may terminate this license at any time upon thirty days
written notice."

With our best regards,
